New Delhi: The number of Indians traveling abroad two or more times a year has increased by 32 percent. At the same time, people of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi are at the forefront in online searches regarding international travel. Travel booking platform MakeMyTrip has given this information in a report related to foreign travel based on data from June 2023 to May 2024.

Indians visited UAE more

According to a report by travel booking platform MakeMyTrip, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thailand and the US are the top destinations for Indians traveling abroad. Apart from this, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Bhutan have also emerged as favorite destinations for foreign travel.

Most Indians traveled in December

A key finding from MakeMyTrip's report shows that international travel search numbers remain relatively stable across seasons. However, December is the most active month for the same.

70 percent people increased to travel

According to a MakeMyTrip report, searches for 10 emerging destinations have seen a combined 70 per cent growth. Apart from this, Indians are also increasingly interested in luxury travel and searches for business class on international flights have increased by 10 per cent.
