An unknown person has threatened to place a bomb at the Puducherry CM's residence through an email. On receiving information about the bomb in the CM's residence, there was a stir in the police department. In a hurry, the police and the bomb squad along with a team of sniffer dogs left for the CM's residence. Nothing was found in the three-hour long investigation, after which it was termed as a mere rumour.

Actually, there was a stir after receiving a bomb threat at the residence of the Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Puducherry. An unknown person had given this threat through e-mail. This threat was related to the presence of bombs in the residence of Puducherry CM N Rangasamy and two hotels in nearby Delarshpet. On Saturday, this threat was given through e-mail saying that there were bombs in all these places. Police said that the hotel management had informed them about the bomb. There was a stir as soon as the information about the bomb was received.

After this, the team of cyber crime detectives and bomb squad left for search with the help of sniffer dogs. These teams reached the hotel and the residence of the Chief Minister. After this, every inch of the place was searched for about three hours. However, the investigation team did not find anything from the spot. According to the police, when the CM's residence was being searched, he had gone to the temple to worship. At the same time, the police say that the information about the bomb was just a rumor. However, a case has been registered in this matter. Apart from this, the investigation has been intensified to find out the person who sent the message.
