News Topical, Digital Desk : The bodies of a Gujarat forest officer's wife and their two children were recovered by police from Bhavnagar on Sunday, ten days after they went missing.
Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Shailesh Khambhala had lodged a missing complaint on November 6 about his wife Nayana Rabari (40), their nine-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter, Bhavnagar SP Nitesh Pandey said.
Three bodies recovered from Bhavnagar
Pandey said, "We received information about suspicious digging activity near Khambhala's quarters in Forest Colony around November 6. Police and FSL personnel conducted an inspection with a sniffer dog, during which we recovered three bodies. The family identified them as Nayana Rabari and her two children."
Police suspect husband
The Superintendent of Police said Shailesh Khambhala is currently being considered a suspect in the case. The family, who lives in Surat, had traveled to Bhavnagar to visit Khambhala during the holidays, after which they were reported missing. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination and further investigation is underway, the official said.
