Meanwhile, the Meteorological Center has predicted dense fog in several districts until January 7th. According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog is likely to cover northern and northeastern districts such as West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj. This is likely to adversely impact road transport, rail, and air services.

These districts have been placed in the alert or watch category.

The Meteorological Department has placed Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, and Samastipur under "alert" or "watch" categories, where cold and fog may be felt. However, the situation is not considered extremely serious. According to meteorologists, the fog may persist for a longer period due to weakening westerly winds and increased humidity in the atmosphere.

No warning for these districts

No warnings have been issued for the districts of south and central Bihar: Patna, Nalanda, Jehanabad, Begusarai, Sheikhpura, Munger, Bhagalpur, Banka, and Jamui. These have been placed in the "green zone."

Yellow alert issued here

A "yellow alert" has been issued for Gaya, Nawada, and surrounding areas, where the effects of the cold may be felt more strongly. People in Rohtas, Aurangabad, Kaimur, and Bhojpur have also been advised to remain vigilant due to the cold weather.

Gaya recorded the lowest temperature at 5.5 degrees Celsius.

The lowest minimum temperature recorded today was 5.5 degrees Celsius in Gaya. Other districts recorded minimum temperatures between 6 and 12 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures have dropped in many areas over the past 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has clarified that cold and foggy conditions are likely to persist in the coming days, so people need to take necessary precautions.
