An advertisement for 1,799 sub-inspector (sub-inspector) positions in the Bihar Police was released on Tuesday. Sub-inspectors appointed through a competitive examination will receive a Level 6 pay scale.

The process of filling the application form starts from September 26

The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission has invited candidates to apply online for this position. The online application process begins on September 26th, and the deadline is October 26th. According to information received from the Home Department (Police Branch), only one online application will be accepted per candidate.

Along with men and women, third genders can also apply for this position. Candidates must have passed a graduate degree from a recognized university or an equivalent examination recognized by the state government. The age limit for candidates will be calculated as of August 1, 2025, but candidates who meet the government's maximum age limit as of August 1, 2025, can also apply.

Minimum age 20 years and maximum age 42 years

Candidates' age will be determined based on their Matriculation or equivalent certificates. For men in the unreserved (general) category, the minimum age is 20 years and the maximum age is 37 years, and for women, the minimum age is 20 years and the maximum age is 40 years. For men and women from Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes, the minimum age is 20 years and the maximum age is 40 years, while for men and women from Scheduled Castes, the minimum age is 20 years and the maximum age is 42 years.
