News Topical, Digital Desk : Filmmaker Anees Bazmee has always been known for his unique and innovative films. He will soon be coming up with new projects. Meanwhile, he has spoken extensively about his upcoming projects, Akshay Kumar, and comedy-horror films.

Question: Are you making a comedy film with Akshay Kumar again?
Answer: Yes, I've done several films with him. I've had this story for a long time. I always have many stories. When I'm not directing, I keep writing. I haven't directed for a year and a half. If it were someone else, they might be worried. I'm not, because I'm also a writer and work every day. I watch films from around the world and keep writing.

Question: Is comedy becoming more difficult now?
Answer: Comedy has always been difficult. I've written films in every genre, but comedy is the most difficult. Many people repeat scenes from previous films in franchise films. I don't do that. I'm not saying it's right or wrong. Everyone has their own understanding.

Question: Now, reviews start pouring in on the internet as soon as a film is released. Is this adding to the pressure on Fridays?
Answer: Very high. Some people consider themselves critics. No degree is required to do this. Nowadays, people call during the interval. You live in a free country, you have every right to speak freely, so now anyone can say anything. I believe it's best to watch the entire film first. There were some films in the past that didn't resonate with the public in the first week, but later became huge hits. 'Mughal-e-Azam' and 'Sholay' are examples of this. Today's films don't get that opportunity. It's unfortunate that as soon as Friday arrives, reviews start coming in within the first 15-20 minutes. It's becoming a business.

Question: These days, promotion in Hindi films is being given less importance. What's your strategy for your films?
Answer: I think films don't work solely on promotion. You promote your film by saying it's releasing on this date. You need to build a level of curiosity so that people believe they have to see it. Until then, films won't work. This happens when the film is good. How many films have we released without any promotion? Talking about my "No Entry," no one knew until Thursday that the film was releasing on Friday. When I went to the cinema on the first day, there were only 10 people. Seeing that, I felt sick, but at 9 pm, I got a call that the theater was full, as many people were waiting outside for the next show. Overall, film promotion is important, but not at that level. A film has its own immense power. If your film has a good trailer and good songs, then people become curious that the film will be good.
