In which it took a big action in Jahangirabad area of Bulandshahr and killed Vinod Gadaria, a criminal with a reward of one lakh rupees. Vinod was the most wanted gang leader of many crimes like murder, robbery and loot, while one of his companions escaped taking advantage of the darkness.
STF Noida unit received information from an informer that Vinod was preparing for robbery with his partner. The team laid siege on Bulandshahr-Anupshahr road at around 8:20 pm. Two suspicious bike riders were seen coming. When asked to stop, both of them opened fire on the police. Vinod Gadaria was injured in the retaliatory firing, while the other miscreant fled. Vinod was taken to the hospital, where he died during treatment. The bullet hit the bulletproof jacket of Sub Inspector Keshav Shandilya, so he did not get seriously injured. Constable Sumit and Anuj also suffered minor injuries. Both are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The STF team also recovered two pistols (30 and 32 bore), one country-made pistol (315 bore), 19 live cartridges and six shells, a numberless Splendor motorcycle helmet and a bag.
Vinod Gadaria had a reward of one lakh
He absconded after killing his wife in 2006 and since then he formed a criminal gang. Around 40 cases of robbery, loot and murder have been registered in Muzaffarnagar, Shamli and neighbouring districts. These include incidents like looting money from a bus conductor (2006), looting jewellery and cash from a temple (2012), breaking into homes and holding families hostage. The Additional Director General of Police of Meerut zone had put a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on him.
The police is conducting raids in search of the absconding criminal. According to the STF, Vinod's network and the records of his other associates are being investigated. The STF believes that this action will have a major impact on the robberies and lootings happening in the area.
He was absconding after killing his wife
Vinod Gadaria was 48 years old and was continuously committing crimes after killing his wife. STF killed him with intelligence and bravery. Police recovered a large number of weapons from the spot. STF appealed to the public that if they have any information about the absconding criminal or his associates, they should immediately inform the nearest police.
