News Topical, Digital Desk : Maharashtra News: On the eve of the monsoon session starting in Maharashtra on Monday (June 30), the Mahavikas Aghadi has boycotted the refreshments provided by the government. Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Ambadas Danve said that this decision has been taken in view of the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, the government's insensitivity towards farmers, the pitiable condition of farmers and various corruption cases involving ministers.

On Sunday (29 June), in the backdrop of the budget session, the leaders of the Mahavikas Aghadi held a press conference at Ajinkyatara, the official residence of the Leader of Opposition Ambadas Danve. During this, they criticized the government, claiming scams, incidents of atrocities and cheating of the common people and farmers during the tenure of the government.

In this meeting, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) leader and MLA Aditya Thackeray, Pratod and MLA Sunil Prabhu, MLA Sachin Ahir, Congress legislature party leader Vijay Wadettiwar, Congress MLA deputy leader Amin Patel, Congress MLA Satej Patil, Nationalist Congress (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) MLAs Jitendra Awhad and Shashikant Shinde were present.

'Ruling party is involved in crime'
Ambadas Danve launched a scathing attack on the government and said, "People of the ruling party are involved in various crimes, they have the protection of the police and the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister are encouraging them. BJP and traitors have pushed Maharashtra into the abyss."

It is a sin to attend tea parties - Aditya Thackeray
Apart from him, Aditya Thackeray took a jibe at Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and said, "It is a sin to attend tea parties of Maharashtra's opponents. Seeing those people who will go to that programme with the stain of corruption, the Chief Minister will say that I had accused these people of corruption." He further said, "The Samruddhi Highway which has been named after my grandfather, has potholes on it, a river is flowing there. What is all this?"

Congress levelled corruption charges
. Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar alleged, "This government is completely immersed in corruption. No work is done without paying money. If someone wants funds, then the percentage has to be decided first." He further said, "Onion, cotton and soybean are not getting the right price. Cotton is not infested with insects, yet the government did not provide any help. As soon as it came to power, the government has left the people at the mercy of God. Therefore, we have boycotted the government's tea-giving programme."

Jitendra Awhad attacked
Apart from him, Sharad Pawar faction leader Jitendra Awhad said, "The Mahayuti government has completely failed politically. Their political gamble has now become ridiculous and disgusting." Satej Patil asked, "Farmers of 12 districts are opposing the Shaktipeeth highway, so why is it being given a political color? This will affect the economic condition of the state. This unnecessary highway should be canceled."
