In fact, Kunal Kapoor recently shared several anecdotes in a conversation with Pooja Bhatt. He recounted how his grandfather, Prithviraj Kapoor, opened his home to refugees after Partition, allowing anyone to come and stay.

"My grandfather had turned the house into a hostel. He was so generous that anyone could come and stay. My father had a separate room, and on their wedding night, my mother was shocked to see two strangers sitting in her bedroom, drinking coffee and chatting. My mother found it strange, but it was quite normal for the family. Back then, anyone could sleep and sit anywhere. Some slept on the roof, others in the corridors."

When did Shashi and Jennifer get married?

Jennifer Kendal and Shashi Kapoor initially worked together at Prithvi Theatre. It was there that they fell in love. They subsequently married in July 1958.

After their marriage, they had three children: Kunal Kapoor, Karan Kapoor, and Sanjana Kapoor. However, in 1982, Shashi Kapoor's life was rocked by a storm when his wife, Jennifer, was diagnosed with colon cancer. Just two years later, in 1984, Jennifer passed away from cancer. Following this, Shashi Kapoor fell into depression and never remarried.
