News Topical, Digital Desk : Preparations for Diwali and Chhath are in full swing in the capital Delhi. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the New Delhi Railway Station on Tuesday (October 14) to inspect the arrangements and inquire with officials about the preparations. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari was also present with the Chief Minister. 

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that during the festival, lakhs of people return to their homes, hence the Delhi government has made extensive arrangements to ensure that the passengers do not face any inconvenience. 

These arrangements were made

The Chief Minister stated that a large convenience center has been built at the station for the convenience of passengers. It features separate ticket counters, drinking water, and clean toilets. He stated that the government's goal is to ensure that no passenger faces any inconvenience during this festive season and that everyone has a pleasant experience.

'Preparations to make Chhath grand'

The Chief Minister stated that the Delhi government has made every effort to ensure a grand and divine Chhath festival this year. Special arrangements for cleanliness, lighting, and security are being made at the Chhath ghats being constructed in various parts of the city. He added that Chhath is not only a festival of the people of Purvanchal but has also become a part of Delhi's cultural identity. Therefore, the government wants to ensure a safe and clean environment for every devotee.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, who was present during the Chief Minister's visit, told the media that the state's largest ticket counter has been set up at New Delhi Railway Station, where even passengers without reservations can easily purchase tickets and travel. Additionally, additional staff have been deployed at the station for crowd management, security, and cleanliness.

The railway administration and the Delhi government are working together to improve all necessary facilities at the station. In view of the increasing passenger traffic, special attention is being paid to platform cleanliness, security checks, and train movement.

"Every passenger should have a comfortable journey"

During the festive season, millions of people travel from Delhi to states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand. Additional trains have been arranged to provide relief to these travelers. The Chief Minister stated that the government's effort is to ensure every passenger's journey is comfortable, safe, and respectful.

This inspection by the Chief Minister in this festive atmosphere not only shows the activeness of the administration but also shows his sensitivity towards the public.
