News Topical, Digital Desk : A gang involved in online gaming fraud has also come to light with a Pakistani connection. The call center, located in a rented house, also used to call Pakistan. Some Pakistani numbers were also found in a diary recovered from the scene.

Police are investigating whether the people using the numbers used to communicate with the gang members were victims of fraud or agents of the gang. Based on a complaint on the police's Pratibimb portal, Bareilly's cyber police were investigating a number that was showing an active location in Ashutosh City, Izzatnagar.

When the police raided the site based on that number, they were shocked. A full-fledged call center was operating there. As soon as the police arrived, the main accused, the gang leader, fled the scene. Police detained two men. During interrogation, they identified themselves as Suryabhan and Vineet. They said the absconding Shivam was their boss.

Police investigations revealed that the accused operated more than 15 online gaming websites under names like Aviator, One X Vet, Crick X Vet, Mahadev, Mahakal, and others. They used these websites to defraud people. They would call people and lure them into playing online games. They would provide them with links to various gaming sites, which they themselves operated.

Initially, they offer profits to lure people into investing more. When users invest thousands or lakhs of rupees, they are blocked and their money is siphoned off. Police found a diary of more than 350 pages. This diary also contains some numbers from Pakistan.

There is a possibility that the game is being operated from Pakistani servers.

Police suspect that the games the accused used to dupe people may be operated from servers in Pakistan. Police are conducting a technical investigation into this matter. Police say that several more suspects may soon be implicated in the case.
