News Topical, Digital Desk : Devotees in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, are set to receive another significant gift by Holi. The open-air theater being constructed at Guptarghat is in its final stages. It is being designed to give devotees and tourists a sense of the Treta Yuga. Along with the open-air theater, magnificent statues depicting Ravana's slaughter, Hanuman, and Jatayu have also been completed, which will be a center of attraction for devotees.
The project is costing approximately ₹18 crore. Currently, final work is progressing rapidly, including finishing touches to the parking area, pathways, ticket counter, guard room, toilet block, and kitchen. The complex's most notable attraction is the open-air theater, where finishing, electrification, and horticulture are in their final stages. Plays related to the Ramayana, bhajans, kirtans, cultural programs, and a grand Ramlila will be staged here.
Theatre will open for tourists on Holi
Ayodhya Divisional Commissioner Rajesh Kumar stated that the open-air theater being built at Guptarghat and the entire complex will be opened to devotees and tourists around Holi. This will further strengthen Ayodhya's cultural identity. He added that 85 percent of the work has been completed, and finishing touches are underway, which will be completed soon.

Ayodhya saint Sitaram Das said that this is a commendable and positive initiative. It will not only give Ayodhya a Treta Yuga-like appearance, but will also connect devotees to religion and spirituality. Along with devotees, the upcoming generation will also gain a closer understanding of Lord Ram and the events surrounding his life through this park. Devotees will also enjoy the open-air theater, thanks to the Yogi government, which is constantly experimenting with various aspects of Ayodhya's development.
