News Topical, Digital Desk : Delhi AAP chief Saurabh Bhardwaj said on Monday (16 June) that former MLA Akhileshpati Tripathi was taken into police custody for opposing the BJP government's bulldozer. He said that the BJP government is continuously running bulldozers on the houses of the poor.

On this, former Delhi CM and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said, “What does the BJP want? Does it want to demolish all the slums in Delhi? Then did Modi ji lie during the elections - where there is a slum, there will be a house?”

AAP MP Sanjay Singh said, "People from UP, Bihar and Purvanchal are being treated like citizens of an enemy country in Delhi. BJP's bulldozers are being run on their homes and shops. Purvanchal Cell President Akhilesh Pati Tripathi was arrested for protesting. Everything will be remembered."

Aam Aadmi Party posted on its x handle, "Anyone who stands with the poor will be sent to jail in the BJP government. The dictatorial BJP government took our former MLA Akhileshpati Tripathi into custody only because he opposed the BJP government's bulldozer rule which demolishes the houses of the poor. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta should be ashamed of herself for breaking the slums of the poor."

Aam Aadmi Party leader Anurag Dhanda said, "Will the BJP's bulldozer stop only after driving away all the poor people from Delhi? The leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party are the ones fighting for the poor."
