News Topical, Digital Desk : Haji Shaukat Ali, the state president of AIMIM in Uttar Pradesh, has made a controversial statement. He said, "Give us not 111 but just 11 MLAs, and I am leaving with a promise to you: if a Muslim is killed in an encounter in Uttar Pradesh, the perpetrator will also be killed." He also said that Muslims are not treated fairly. He further said that if they want to protect mosques and madrasas, they must create a stick, a flag, a leader, and reach the assembly.

What did AIMIM leader say about development?

Highlighting development concerns, Ali said progress shouldn't be limited to Gorakhpur and Saifai, but should also reach cities like Meerut. Referring to the Meerut Captain's statement about revoking licenses for those offering namaz on the streets, he expressed hope that similar action would be taken against acts like the "Nagin dance" in front of mosques during Ram Navami processions.

"Those who elected 111 MLAs are now saying this is not their government."

The AIMIM leader also claimed that despite their contribution to the country's independence, Muslims have suffered grave injustice. He alleged that madrasas have been locked, houses demolished on false charges, and people shot. He criticized political parties, saying that those who elected 111 MLAs are now saying that this is not their government.

Meanwhile, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi has announced that the party will contest the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections in alliance with Humayun Kabir's 'Aam Janata Unnayan Party'.
