Proctor expressed ignorance
AMU Proctor Professor Waseem Ali denied knowledge of the incident. He stated that he had not yet received any official complaint or report in this regard. He also stated that if the matter was found to be true, an investigation would be conducted and appropriate action would be taken. Professor Ali said, "AMU is an educational institution. Political activity of any kind is not permitted here. If anyone has violated the rules, action will be taken against them."
BJP leader demanded action
Dr. Nishit Sharma, a member of the BJP Yuva Morcha's state executive committee and an AMU alumnus, and dozens of other Yuva Morcha students condemned the incident. They said, "The AMU administration should immediately investigate this incident and take strict action against the culprits. This is an insult to the university's dignity and a violation of law and order." They also warned of protests if action is not taken.
Police started investigation into the matter
The station in-charge stated that the authenticity of the video circulating on social media is being investigated. He added that no written complaint has been received at this time, but if a complaint is received, a case will be filed under the relevant sections.
