
News Topical, Digital Desk : The hooliganism of toll workers was once again exposed on Monday at Joya toll plaza in Amroha district of UP. A minor dispute over fastag recharge took a violent turn, in which toll workers brutally beat up four youths from Moradabad. In this attack, the shoulder of the car owner Abdul Samad was broken, while three other youths were seriously injured. The victim's side alleges that the argument started on the issue of fastag not being scanned at the toll plaza, but in a short while the toll workers attacked armed with sticks.
The victims have handed over the video of the incident to the police, in which the entire incident of assault is captured. On the basis of video evidence, the police have registered a case against 15 unknown toll workers under serious sections like attempt to murder, assault and threatening. CO Sadar said that the CCTV footage of the toll plaza is being scanned and the accused will be arrested soon. It is worth noting that such incidents have come to light at Zoya toll plaza earlier also, but no concrete action has been taken so far.
What is the whole matter?
Abdul Samad, a resident of Moradabad, was going from Delhi to his home in Moradabad in his car number UK 06 AH 3396 with his brother Mohammad Zaid and his two friends Zaki and Mujammil on 13 July at 5 am. When his car reached Joya toll plaza in Amroha district, the car could not pass due to the fastag not being recharged. Abdul Samad took his car back and recharged his car's fastag again, after 10-12 minutes of recharging, he reached the toll fee gate again, even then the fastag of the youth's car did not work. After which the toll workers asked him to pay cash (double) but citing the rules of the transport department, they refused to pay cash.
After which the toll workers started misbehaving and after a while started fighting, in the fight, the shoulder of a young man travelling in the car was also broken and 3 companions were injured. After the incident of fighting, the victims reached the Rajabpur police station and filed a complaint against the toll workers, on the basis of the complaint, the Rajabpur police have registered a case against 15 unknown persons. The police is engaged in investigation on the basis of the video. Meanwhile, CO City Shakti Singh says that the accused will be arrested soon.
