The speeding, uncontrolled Tata Sumo car driven by the district's female police station in-charge, Inspector Kanchan Singh, crushed an oncoming bike, crushing it to pieces. One young man died tragically on the spot, while two others were seriously injured. Chaos ensued at the scene. Passersby alerted the police and ambulance. The accident occurred near the Bank of Baroda in Babuganj Market, within the Gauriganj Kotwali area. According to reports, the woman police station in-charge, Inspector Kanchan Singh, was traveling to Jais in a Tata Sumo on official business.
The vehicle was moving at such a high speed that it had no time to manage the bike that suddenly appeared in front of it. According to eyewitnesses, the collision was so severe that the three young men on the bike were thrown into the air and landed several meters away.

The injured were referred to Lucknow
Upon receiving information about the accident, the Gauriganj police station arrived at the scene and began rescue operations. With the help of local residents, the injured were transported to the community health center via ambulance. After providing first aid, doctors referred both men to the district hospital due to their critical condition. After examination, the district hospital doctors referred them to a higher treatment center in Lucknow.
20-year-old youth dies tragically
The young man killed on the spot in this horrific accident has been identified as Akhilesh Kumar Verma (20), son of Deendayal Verma, resident of Pure Udvad Majra Sarai Mahesha, Police Station Jais. The injured youths include Pappu (45), son of Jameel, resident of Pure Sohar, Police Station Jais, and Shatrughan (20), son of Raj Bahadur, resident of Pure Kalika Majra Sarai Mahesha, Police Station Jais.
What did the police say about the incident?
Gauriganj Kotwali in-charge Inspector Shyam Narayan Pandey stated that a police team arrived at the scene as soon as they received information about the incident. The deceased's family has been informed. The police have taken the body into custody, filled out a Panchnama, and sent it for post-mortem. Necessary legal action is being taken in the case. The vehicle has also been seized and removed from the scene.
The accident has caused chaos in the family of the deceased. Family members are inconsolable and inconsolable. The families of the two injured youths are also anxiously attending to their treatment in hospitals. Locals are blaming the incident on the police department's negligence and demanding strict action.
