News Topical, Digital Desk : UP DGP News: Rajiv Krishna, a 1991 batch officer of the Indian Police Service, has been appointed as the Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police. Samajwadi Party national president and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has taken a dig at his appointment.

The SP chief has written on the social media site X that the state has got another acting DGP. He has said that if the 'double engine' cannot choose an officer together, then how will they run the country and the state? In his social media post, Akhilesh also took a dig at the outgoing Director General of Police Prashant Kumar. He alleged that the former acting DGP did not keep loyalty to the Constitution.

Akhilesh said this without mentioning Prashant Kumar's name:
Shortly after the appointment of Rajiv Krishna, the SP chief wrote: UP has got another acting DGP! Without mentioning Prashant Kumar's name, the Kannauj MP wrote that today, while leaving, he must be thinking what did he get, who kept proving every wrong to be right. If he had been loyal to the constitution and the law instead of the person, he would have at least got respect in his own eyes.

This is what Akhilesh Yadav said about Rajiv Krishna.
Regarding the appointment of Rajiv Krishna, Akhilesh wrote that now it has to be seen whether the new appointments are able to break free from the web that the former has created in the entire state and deliver justice impartially or they too become victims of politics by getting trapped in the same web. He wrote that why should the people of UP and the poor law and order situation bear the brunt of the Delhi-Lucknow fight? When the 'double engine' cannot choose an officer together, then how will they run the country and the state.
