Who got how many seats?
It is worth mentioning that as a result of the election process for the 18th Lok Sabha, out of 80 seats in UP, SP won 37 seats, BJP 33, Congress 6, RLD 2, ASP (K) 1 and Apna Dal 1. In this election, SP contested the election in alliance with the Indian National Congress under the banner of India Alliance. Subhaspa, Nishad Party, Apna Dal (S), RLD were in the election with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
BJP lost a lot of seats in this election. The party's target was to win all 80 seats. However, this did not happen. In this election, BJP candidate from Amethi, Smriti Irani also faced defeat and Kishori Lal Sharma won on a Congress ticket.
