News Topical, Digital Desk : Following the success of the film Dhurandhar, actor Akshaye Khanna's name has been making headlines for his upcoming films. Drishyam 3 was also included in his list of upcoming films, but he surprised everyone by suddenly withdrawing from the film.  Drishyam 3 producer Kumar Mangat Pathak criticized Akshay for leaving the film despite signing an agreement.

Now, Drishyam 3 director Abhishek Pathak has also reacted to this matter. He also shared Ajay Devgn's opinion on the matter. Let's explore the matter in detail.

The issue regarding Drishyam 3 is heating up.

Abhishek Pathak took over this hit franchise with the film Drishyam 2, and he's also bringing its third installment, which was officially announced recently. However, the issue of actor Akshaye Khanna's exit from Drishyam 3 has become quite heated. The movie's director, Abhishek Pathak, has now opened up about this in a recent interview with E Times, stating:

“Everything was finalized, and he (Akshaye Khanna) really liked the script. The look and costumes for the role were finalized. But a day before Dhurandhar's release, he declined to do Drishyam 3. We also spoke with Ajay Devgn about this matter, and he said, 'You should decide what to do next, and it's a matter between me and the producers.'”

Based on the premise of the sequel, the story will continue from where it ended. Therefore, the characters' looks cannot be altered. Therefore, Akshay's demand for a hair wig was unnecessary. I challenge him to do a solo film in the future."

Apart from this, Drishyam 3 director Abhishek Pathak clearly denied that Akshay Khanna had demanded a fee of Rs 21 crore for the film.

When will Drishyam 3 release?

Recently, a promo video for Drishyam 3 was released, in which the makers also revealed the movie's release date. It's worth noting that the Ajay Devgn-starrer will hit the big screen on October 2, 2026.
