News Topical, Digital Desk : An Air India Express flight from Hyderabad to Phuket, Thailand, made a hard landing at Phuket airport after experiencing a nose-wheel problem, the airline said on Wednesday.

Authorities at Phuket Airport suspended flight operations following the incident, as the aircraft became stuck on the runway, sources said . The number of passengers on board the Boeing 737-Max8 aircraft was not immediately known.

Air India Express confirmed

Air India Express said in a statement, "We confirm that our Hyderabad-Phuket flight on March 11 experienced a nose wheel problem at Phuket Airport." The nose wheel is an essential part of the aircraft's landing gear system.

All passengers are safe

According to flight tracking website flightradar24.com, Flight IX 938 took off from Hyderabad at 6.42 am instead of its scheduled time of 6.20 am and landed at Phuket International Airport at 11.40 am local time.

"The crew followed all standard protocols and the guest was deplaned," Air India Express said in a statement.
