News Topical, Digital Desk : The Itraura-Bhasraul road has been in disrepair for a decade. Large potholes formed due to the operation of gravel mines on the road, causing difficulties for people in commuting. It connects the villages and hamlets of the Yamuna River catchment area. Considering the problems faced by the villagers, the government has approved ₹18 crore for widening the seven-kilometer-long road. Following the approval, the Public Works Department has initiated the e-tendering process. Work on widening the road will begin soon.

People from a hundred villages and hamlets travel to Khaga, Asothar, Vijayipur and Fatehpur daily via the Itaura-Bhasraul road. Also, students from these villages and hamlets go to Asothar Inter College and Vijayipur Inter College for studies. Due to the potholes on the road, these students fall and get injured every day. Also, the villagers who go to the market in the towns return early in the evening because due to the dilapidated condition of the road, vehicles are not available after evening. Due to these reasons, people have to return leaving their work incomplete in the markets.
