The accused husband, identified as Balamurugan, entered his wife's hostel and committed the murder. The incident is believed to be due to a family dispute.

According to Tamil Nadu police, the victim's name was Sripriya, who worked at a private company in Coimbatore. Sripriya and Balamurugan had been separated for some time. On Sunday afternoon, Balamurugan visited his wife at her hostel. Balamurugan had hidden a sickle in his clothing.

The investigation revealed that the argument between the two escalated to the point where Balamurugan stabbed Sripriya. The blow was so severe that Sripriya bled to death instantly. The wife was suspicious

When the hostel staff arrived at the scene after hearing Sripriya's screams, Balamurugan was present. He remained sitting near the body until the police arrived. The police arrested him and recovered the sickle. Police investigation revealed that Balamurugan suspected his wife of having an affair with another man, which led him to murder Sripriya.

This murder in Tamil Nadu has sparked political unrest. Questions are being raised about the safety of women in the state. However, the government and police maintain that the incident occurred due to personal reasons. They have assured strict action against the accused.
