News Topical, Digital Desk : Panic erupted at the Navadih railway crossing on AIIMS Road in Deoghar, Jharkhand, when a truck was hit by a train. However, there were no reports of any casualties. Upon receiving information about the incident, Jasidih police and RPF teams arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control.

The video shows the truck stopped at a level crossing before being struck by an oncoming train. It was reported that the truck was carrying paddy.

What did the Railways say on the incident?

Currently, efforts are underway to restore traffic on the track and investigate the cause of the accident. The Railways have ordered an investigation into the train-truck accident in Deoghar. Sources indicate that the railway gate was open, which is why the truck ended up on the tracks. An Eastern Railway official stated that rail traffic has now been fully restored, and trains have resumed operating on both the up and down lines.

According to the Eastern Railway's CPRO, an investigation is underway to determine how the gate remained open. The investigation will also examine whether the train was given a signal to proceed, and whether someone in the crowd opened the gate. A team of railway investigation officers is present at the scene and is conducting a detailed investigation. According to the railway, no one was seriously injured in the incident.
