News Topical, Digital Desk : Two men stabbed a man to death right outside a police station gate in Andhra Pradesh on Monday. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. near the Tanakallu police station. The deceased was identified as Eswarappa, a resident of Mergu Vandla Palle.
Hari and Chinnappa, residents of Rangapalli, allegedly brutally murdered Eswarappa with a sickle over a mutual dispute, officials said.
According to police, Hari's wife, a resident of Rangapalli, had been missing for the past four days, following which a missing person's complaint was filed at the Tanakallu police station. During the investigation, it was discovered that Eswarappa had allegedly taken her away.
Youth murdered outside police station
Police later located Eswarappa and the woman in Nellore district and brought them back to the Tanakallu police station at midnight. As Eswarappa was being brought near the police station gate, Hari and his relative, Chinnappa, who were allegedly hiding there, attacked and killed him.
Police arrested three people
Superintendent of Police Satish Kumar stated that police have arrested three people in connection with the incident and are conducting a thorough investigation. He further stated that the station sub-inspector was not at the station at the time of the incident and a departmental inquiry is being initiated to determine any lapses or negligence.
Meanwhile, Eswarappa's body has been sent for post-mortem and a case of murder has been registered against the accused.
