News Topical, Digital Desk : A couple has been arrested for purchasing an abandoned newborn from a private hospital in Godhra, Gujarat, for two thousand rupees. The couple was getting the newborn treated at a hospital in Vadodara. The truth came to light during this time.

Police have filed a human trafficking case against eight people, including the couple and hospital staff. The couple could have legally adopted the child. However, their eagerness to have a child quickly led them to become accused of human trafficking. On September 14th, a woman quietly disappeared after giving birth at Deep Maternity, a private hospital in Godhra.

asked for 10 thousand rupees

The staff there called a couple who wanted a child to the hospital. They demanded 10,000 rupees in exchange for the child. Saying they didn't have the money, the couple paid 2,000 rupees and took the child with them. The next day, the child fell ill, so the couple took him to Gautri Hospital in Vadodara.

Police called

When a hospital employee asked them for their Mamta Card, they explained that they had found the child abandoned. The hospital staff then called the police. During questioning, the couple revealed that they had brought the child from a private clinic in Godhra.
