
A shocking incident has come to light from Nelamangala, on the outskirts of Karnataka's capital Bengaluru, where a person admitted to a private rehabilitation center was brutally beaten up. The patient's only fault was that he refused to wash the warden's clothes. Now the police have registered a case regarding this incident. The police have also revealed in their preliminary investigation that the patient had refused to wash the warden's clothes and clean the toilet.
Police arrested him
The incident is being reported from the correctional home under Nelamangala rural police limits. It was reported that this incident happened in the month of February, but now the CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, on the basis of which the police registered a suo moto case and arrested the owner of the private rehabilitation center. Along with brutalizing the patient living in the correctional home, a photo of the accused cutting a birthday cake with a sword in his hand also surfaced, after which the police have also registered a case against him under the Arms Act.
The accused were seen being beaten badly in CCTV
CCTV footage shows a man locking a patient in a room at the centre and brutally beating him with a stick while others stand and watch. As the video progresses, the victim is dragged and beaten repeatedly. Then another man enters the room and continues to beat him with a stick.
Police gave this information
In the case, Superintendent of Police CK Baba of Rural Bengaluru said that this incident is a few months old but the victim did not complain at that time due to which it could not be detected. As soon as the CCTV footage of the incident became public, the police took suo motu cognizance and arrested the main accused i.e. the owner of the rehabilitation center. As soon as the incident came to light, Bengaluru Rural Police raided the center and registered a case against both the warden and the owner in connection with the attack. The owner has been arrested. It is being said that the victim does not live there anymore, he left from there a long time ago.
