Police at the Sardhana police station in Meerut solved the case and arrested the woman and her accomplice, who had plotted to trap her lover and extort a large sum of money from him. Police have safely recovered the woman's kidnapped son from Noida.

According to reports, Sonia, a resident of Dabthua village in the Sardhana police station area, is divorced from her husband. She was currently living at her parents' home. Meanwhile, she fell in love with a young man named Mohit from her village. Sonia expressed her desire to marry him, but Mohit refused, prompting Sonia to file a lawsuit against him and demand one lakh rupees as a settlement. Mohit's family paid some money to secure his bail, but when they couldn't find the remaining money, Sonia resorted to a new tactic.

Police investigations revealed that the woman, with the help of her partner, Sanjay, a Noida resident, had plotted to have her ten-year-old son disappear.
