The fire was brought under control after several hours of intense effort. Local station officials are not providing any information regarding the extent of the damage to the railway.

The fire caused chaos all around
As soon as the fire broke out in the station premises, passengers ran for cover and fled. Several passengers were reportedly injured while fleeing. The flames were intense, and the entire premises appeared pitch black with smoke.
Many young people present at the scene said they had never seen such flames and smoke. However, upon receiving information, the fire brigade arrived at the scene and managed to control the fire.
Railway fire extinguisher proved useless
