News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking incident has emerged from the Argora area of Ranchi, where three members of a family attempted mass suicide. Young chartered accountant Mihir Shekhar (24) died in the incident. His mother and minor sister, who also attempted suicide by consuming poison, are currently in critical condition in the hospital. The tragic incident reportedly occurred on Monday at their residence, where Mihir hanged himself while the mother and daughter consumed poison.
Financial hardship is being cited as the primary reason behind this concerted attempt by the three family members. According to police, Mihir had recently returned to Ranchi from Kolkata and was looking for a job. It's reported that he had secured a position with a corporate firm, but financial pressure appears to have persisted. His mother, Sneha Akhouri, is a lawyer at the Jharkhand High Court, but her practice has been suspended for the past few days.

Anil Kumar Tiwari, SHO of Argora police station, told ANI that police, responding to a call from neighbors, found Mihir hanging from a noose in his home. His mother and 14-year-old sister were immediately rushed to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Police said the deceased, Mihir Shekhar, was 24 years old and had recently completed his CA studies. Preliminary investigations suggest that joblessness and severe financial crisis forced him to take this extreme step.

Mother Sneha Akhouri and her minor daughter remain in critical condition in the hospital, and doctors are treating them. Police are investigating all aspects of the incident and interviewing family members, friends, and relatives.
