News Topical, Digital Desk : In Naubasta, a speeding dumper crushed a female designer riding a scooter who was returning after delivering dresses to a school on Tuesday afternoon, killing her on the spot. Passersby caught the fleeing dumper driver after the accident and handed him over to the police. The woman was talking on her mobile phone using a handsfree while driving the scooter when the accident happened. When the police informed her family members through the mobile phone found with her, they broke down inconsolably.

Ishrat Khan, 30-year-old daughter of truck driver Ashraf Khan, resident of Devki Nagar, Naubasta, after completing her graduation, used to prepare designer dresses for children of several schools in the city. The family consists of mother Naseem, brother Hamza, sisters Nusrat and Mantasha. Relatives said that on Tuesday morning at 10 am, she had gone from home to a school in Kakadev to deliver readymade designer dresses for children. While returning from there, she was driving the scooter while talking on her mobile phone using a handsfree. During this, when she turned the scooter, a speeding dumper coming from behind crushed Ishrat, due to which she died on the spot.

The accident caused a traffic jam on the highway for some time. The police informed the family and had the damaged scooter removed. The family said that the father, Ashraf Khan, had gone out with the truck. They had not yet been informed of the accident. Naubasta police station in-charge Bahadur Singh said that the accused dumper driver has been taken into custody. Based on the family's complaint, a report will be filed and action will be taken.

Private employee dies in truck collision

Kanpur: Vinod Kashyap, a 34-year-old resident of Hamirpur Khurd in the Juhi police station area, worked in a private job. His family includes his elder brothers, Pramod and Manoj, and his mother, Sushila Devi. His brother said that Vinod was returning home on foot from work late at night. He was hit by a speeding truck near a petrol pump in Rattupurwa, injuring him. Police took him to the hospital, but Vinod later died.
