A family travelling in an autorickshaw was brutally attacked with knives late Thursday night, after which broken bangles, blood stains and slippers were found lying on the road. Police have registered a case of attempted murder against four people.
What is the whole matter?
The incident took place at around 9.30 pm on 14th Cross Ramanuja Road in Agrahara, one of the busiest areas of the city. A video of the attack on the auto-borne family members has gone viral in which some people are seen openly attacking the auto riders with sharp weapons. No passerby had the courage to stop this attack.
A deadly attack was made on the family after chasing the auto
If eyewitnesses are to be believed, a black car started chasing the auto at around 9.30 pm and stopped it near 12th Cross on Ramanuja Road. After this, the auto and the people sitting in it were attacked with sharp weapons. The attackers were identified as Ramu, his wife Soumya, Abbaiya and Prasad. In this attack, Rajanna, Kumuda, Vishalakshi and Renukamma, who were travelling in the auto, suffered serious injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. According to the police, the injured are now out of danger. This incident, which happened on Thursday night, was recorded on camera and is being investigated.
What is the reason behind the attack?
It is being told that this family was attacked with sharp weapons because Rajanna is having an affair with a girl from the attackers' family. Rajanna is accused of having a relationship with a minor girl, for which a case was registered against him under the POCSO Act. After this, when the girl turned 18, she went to the police station and told that her relationship with Rajanna was of her own free will. This angered the girl's family and they attacked him while he was traveling in an auto.
