News Topical, Digital Desk : Amit Singh, owner of a firm in Siktara Shamsabad, Agra, has filed a complaint at the Sushant Golf City police station, alleging that he was duped of ₹1.26 crore by promising him a partnership in a mining business. Police are investigating the matter.
Amit Singh, owner of New Vedika Construction firm of Agra, said that mining businessman Devendra Singh and his associates had taken money from him by showing him the tender for sand-gravel mining in Banda district.
According to the victim, on January 29, 2025, in a restaurant in a mall in Sushant Golf City, Ravindra Singh Shekhawat, Zafar Khan, Sanjay Gautam Rohit Yadav etc., posing as representatives of Devendra Singh, showed the tender for mining of 25,775 cubic meters on different plot numbers of land in village Sadi Madanpur.
Based on a purported consent letter from the Banda District Magistrate, they promised a 50 percent partnership. Under his influence, he paid ₹1.26 crore. The agreement specified only a 25 percent share and excluded one plot, number 848. An investigation revealed that the mining lease had already been revoked.
Plot number 848 was on village community land. When the fraud was exposed, the victim demanded his money back and was threatened. He also complained to the Agra Police Commissioner.
After this, a case has been registered in Sushant Golf City police station against Ravindra Shekhawat, resident of Machhigaon Karauli, Rajasthan, Devendra Singh, resident of Rajajipuram, Zafar Khan, resident of Kadaura, Hamirpur, Sanjay Gautam, resident of Swaraj Colony, Banda, Rohit Yadav, manager of Ranya & Singh Company, resident of Kakori and Ansar.
