News Topical, Digital Desk : A high-speed Ferrari sports car caused an accident in Hyderabad's posh Jubilee Hills area on Sunday. CCTV footage of the accident has now surfaced. The incident occurred on Road No. 45, right next to the residence of Tollywood superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna. CCTV footage clearly shows the Ferrari speeding down the main road. It suddenly lost control, hit a divider, then jumped over it and collided with a grey hatchback coming from the opposite direction.
The entire story of the accident in a three-minute video
The three-minute CCTV clip captures the entire scene of the accident. At 10:32:16, a red Ferrari appears from the left side of the screen. It crosses the divider, reaches the other side of the road, and collides with the gray hatchback.
The impact was so severe that both cars were severely damaged. The hatchback's front end was completely shattered, and its shell was thrown about six feet away. A third car and a two-wheeler following the car were also affected. The two-wheeler flew into the air after colliding with the gray car.
Ferrari driver apologizes
Seconds after the collision, the video shows a young man in a white shirt exiting the Ferrari. He raises his hands and apologizes, then quickly runs back to the car and starts talking to the person inside.
The injured were taken to the hospital
Locals gathered at the scene immediately after the accident and helped the injured. Three of the injured were admitted to a nearby private hospital.
What came out in the police investigation?
Police have registered a case based on a complaint from local residents. Police confirmed that the Ferrari driver was not drunk at the time of the accident. He has been identified as Kranti Reddy. Kranti Reddy claimed that the accident occurred due to brake failure and the steering locking. The Ferrari is estimated to be worth around ₹4 crore (approximately $1.4 million USD) and is registered in the name of E. Venkat Raja Reddy. Road Transport Authority officials will now conduct a thorough inspection of the car to determine if the driver's claims are true.
