News Topical, Digital Desk : A horrific incident occurred on the night of October 15th involving an 18-year-old 12th-grade student in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Young men in a car, under the pretense of offering her a lift, forced her into their car, drugged her tea, rendered her unconscious, and then committed the heinous act of gang rape. Police have taken action in this case and arrested two of the accused, while raids are underway to search for another suspect.
It was reported that the victim left home on October 15th, upset with her family. After a day of traveling with her friend, she was returning home late at night by auto-rickshaw. Near Khurram Nagar, the auto-rickshaw driver lost his way, and the student got off. Meanwhile, a car carrying two young men stopped and offered her a lift to Vikas Nagar. When she refused, the man in the car convinced her and forcibly pulled her into the vehicle.
Raped and held hostage for 4 days after mixing drugs in tea
In the car, the accused gave the student tea laced with sedatives, causing her to faint. They then took the victim to a flat where the men gang-raped her. Half an hour later, another man arrived and also raped the student. After the gang-rape, one of the accused held the student captive for four days before escaping.
The accused threatened the student over the phone.
The student's family initially filed a missing person report. Upon returning home on October 18th, she remained fearful of the incident. However, on October 19th, the accused, Junaid, threatened her over the phone and text messages, prompting the student to recount her ordeal to her family. On October 22nd, the family went to the Madiyanv police station, and a case was registered based on the student's complaint.
Two gang rape accused arrested, search continues for one
Inspector Shivanand Mishra stated that two named accused, Anshuman and Junaid, were arrested on Thursday (October 23). Anshuman's father works in the wireless department. Police are currently searching for the third accused, Shivansh. The two arrested are being interrogated, and they have been charged under relevant sections of the law and sent to jail.
