Vande Bharat sleeper coach is going to start running in the next few months. This train has been designed to facilitate long distance travel.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled the replica version of the sleeper coach of Vande Bharat Express at BEML's factory.
Vaishnav said that before running Vande Sleeper, it will be trialled for 10 days. After inspection, Vaishnav said that we expect passenger operations of Vande Bharat Sleeper coach after three months. All the coaches in this train will be completely sleeper.
At what speed will the Vande Bharat sleeper train run?
The Railway Minister said that the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will run at a speed of 160/kmph, which can go up to a top speed of 180/kmph. This train will have a total of 16 coaches, including 11 3AC, 4 2AC and 1 first class coaches.
The Railway Minister said, “Designing a new train is a complex task. Vande Bharat Sleeper has many new features. He said that Vande Bharat Chair-Car, Vande Sleeper, Vande Metro and Amrut Bharat will change the way people travel.”
