The student movement in Bangladesh that ousted Sheikh Hasina from power is becoming active once again. Today, student leaders are going to gather at Shaheed Minar in the capital Dhaka.

 

Bangladesh's fundamentalist organization Jamaat-e-Islami has promoted this program heavily. It is being said that about 30 lakh people will gather at Shaheed Minar. The interim government of Bangladesh has also bowed down to the student leaders.

 

Student leaders will hold a rally

Actually, it was said by the interim government of Bangladesh that the government is going to announce the 'July Revolution'. Which will be prepared with the help of political parties and students. But as soon as this news came, the student leaders became active.

 

He said that the July revolution will be announced by him. It was said that it will be announced in the rally to be held at Shaheed Minar. Immediately after the announcement by the student leaders, the interim government of Bangladesh gave up and said that there is no such preparation from the government's side.

 

What is the plan to change?

Actually, the student leaders want to change the constitution of Bangladesh. It is claimed that their first attempt is to change the name of Bangladesh. It is being said that the name of Bangladesh can be changed to Islamic Republic of Bangladesh or Islamic Republic of East Pakistan.

 

Apart from this, Sunnah and Sharia can also be implemented in Bangladesh. In order to gain full control over the power of Bangladesh, the President and Army Chief can be forced to resign. There is also a discussion of making Mohammad Yunus the President of Bangladesh.

 

Attempts to create a new constitution

  • The students say that they want to bring a new constitution in Bangladesh. They called the Bangladesh Constitution prepared in 1972 as 'Mujibist Charter' and said that they will bury it completely because it has given India a chance to rule Bangladesh.
  • However, Bangladesh's main opposition party is not in support of this. Khaleda Zia-led BNP said that if there is something wrong in the constitution, it can be changed. But it is not right to destroy the constitution completely.
