Himachal Pradesh Snowfall: After a long wait, the weather has changed in Himachal Pradesh. On Sunday, the first snowfall of the season occurred in different parts of the state. The snowfall brought smiles on the faces of tourists. There was neither rain nor snowfall for about two months. Snowfall has also occurred in Shimla. Gardeners and farmers were also waiting for rain and snowfall for two months. After the snowfall, Himachal has got relief from drought.

The Meteorological Center Shimla had issued a yellow alert for snowfall in high altitude areas on 8 December. Snowfall is forecast in the high altitude areas of Lahaul Spiti, Chamba, Kullu, Kinnaur, Mandi and Shimla at night. Rain may also occur in some parts of Solan, Sirmaur and Bilaspur. Rain will be accompanied by thunder and lightning. There is a possibility of light rain in Una, Hamirpur and Kangra. People have also been requested to keep checking the weather forecast from time to time.

The weather became pleasant due to snowfall

After snowfall in Lahaul Spiti, the police has become alert. People trapped in vehicles due to snowfall were rescued. The police conducted a rescue operation and took the people to a safe place. Arrangements for accommodation and food for the tourists are also being made by the local administration. In the evening, two vehicles met with an accident at Khansar turn due to slippery road in Lahaul Spiti. It is a matter of relief that no one was injured in the road accident. The Manali-Leh route is currently blocked. The administration has appealed to the people to use the road in case of urgent work. They have also been asked to take precautions while driving on the road. Let us tell you that farmers and gardeners were worried due to lack of rain and snowfall.
