Something happened at Mumbai's BKC ground on Wednesday (6 November) that angered Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh) chief Uddhav Thackeray. Actually, Uddhav's security guards were allegedly stopped at the entrance of the MVA rally in BKC, due to which he got angry at the policemen. A video of this has also surfaced which is viral.
Uddhav's son Aditya Thackeray was also present at that time. The former CM is heard saying, 'Who is he? Write down his name.' To this Aditya Thackeray says, 'Suspend him.'
Let us tell you that there was a public meeting of Mahavikas Aghadi at BKC ground on Wednesday. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, NCP founder Sharad Pawar and many big leaders of MVA participated in it. The manifesto of Mahavikas Aghadi was released in this rally.
The MVA promised to give Rs 3,000 per month to women in the state and free travel in state transport buses. Under the Krishi Samridhi Yojana, farmers' loans up to Rs 3 lakh will be waived and Rs 50,000 will be given as an incentive for regular repayment of loans.
The MVA made this announcement ahead of the state assembly elections to be held on November 20. Other guarantees including an allowance of Rs 4000 per month for unemployed youth, health insurance up to Rs 25 lakh and free medicines were announced.
The BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP government in Maharashtra is currently paying Rs 1,500 per month under its flagship 'Ladki Behan' scheme and has promised to increase the amount to Rs 2,100 if it remains in power.
The MVA also promised that if their party comes to power, a caste-based census will be conducted in the state and the 50 per cent cap on reservation will be removed if it comes to power at the Centre.
