Elon Musk Peter Navarro Feud: US President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariff policy has not only caused a stir around the world but has also started a dispute within his own team. On this issue, there has been a heated debate between Trump's two big allies, Tesla CEO Elon Musk and economist Peter Navarro.

Musk publicly called Navarro an 'idiot', which further escalated the controversy. When a White House spokesperson was questioned about the controversy, she said that it was a private debate between the two men and it should not be blown out of proportion.

Caroline Lavitt said this

When White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt was asked about the debate between Elon Musk and Peter Navarro on the Trump administration's tariff policy, she described it as a personal difference. She said jokingly, "These are two people who have different opinions on trade and tariffs. Boys will be boys, let them do what they want to do."

Caroline Lavit also said that people should be thankful that our government is the most transparent government ever. In the weekly press conference, Lavit said, "President Trump works with complete transparency. He listens to everyone's opinion. In his government, people have different opinions on every issue, and after listening to everyone, the President takes the best decision in the national interest."

Why did Musk and Navarro fight?

There has been a heated debate between Elon Musk and Trump's trade advisor Peter Navarro over America's tariff policy. In fact, Navarro has played a major role in preparing the tariff plan, while Musk is against this policy. Navarro defended the tariff in an interview and said that the market will soon recover from the decline that has occurred. He claimed that America's major stock index Dow Jones can reach the figure of 50,000 during Trump's tenure.

His interview went viral on social media. After this, Elon Musk took a dig at Navarro and said that having a PhD in Economics from Harvard is not a good thing, but rather bad. This is not the first time that Musk and Navarro have come face to face. Earlier also Musk had talked about trade between America and Europe with zero tariff i.e. without any import duty.

Musk had said, "I hope that America and Europe will move forward together and promote free trade." But Trump has imposed a 20% tariff on the European Union, which has angered Musk. Both of them have completely different views on this issue and now this debate has come out in the public.
