Anil Agarwal's company Vedanta's stock is in focus today. After the market opened on Friday, this stock was seen trading in the green mark. The company has released the business updates for the second quarter of the financial year 2025. Vedanta's aluminum production has been the highest on a quarterly and half-yearly basis. In the first 6 months of the financial year 2025, the company has produced 1,039 kt of aluminum. There is a growth of 21% on a year-on-year basis.
This record production of aluminium has been seen on the basis of better operational efficiency. The company also said that zinc production in India has also been done at a record level.
Zinc India has achieved a record production of mined metal. Refined metal production has seen a 5% increase on a year-on-year basis, after which it was 524 kt. Zinc International volume has increased by 16% on a quarter-on-quarter basis. The company also said that it has produced the highest production of high ore treatment and mined metal grades in 6 months. Refined metal production has increased by 5% year-on-year in the first half. Whereas, refined zinc production has increased by 4% year-on-year. Refined lead production has increased by 7% year-on-year. Silver volume has increased by 10% quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter. However, the company's oil & gas production has decreased by 22% year-on-year. It has decreased by 7% on a quarterly basis. Vedanta's steel production declined by 7% in the first half. This decline was seen due to the planned shutdown in the second quarter. Vedanta's stock has seen a spectacular rise for some time now. In the last 6 months, this stock has shown a growth of more than 65%. Whereas, in the last one year, this stock has shown a growth of more than 130%. So far this year, Vedanta's stock has climbed 100%. The 52-week high of this stock is ₹ 523.65 per share and the 52-week low is ₹ 211.20 per share.
