A very horrifying incident has come to light from Surprise city in the American state of Arizona. On Friday, a father opened fire on his own 6 month old child. However, there is a possibility of survival of the innocent child. The incident occurred at a home northwest of Phoenix. Meanwhile, the mother also suffered minor injuries. Actually, the father had held his wife and child hostage since 3 in the morning. The suspect's condition remains unknown after he caught fire during a standoff with police. Police said that at 11:30 am, an emergency call was received from the house located in Surprise city, in which the mother informed that she and her child were held hostage by the accused father since 3 am.
The view inside the house is scary
Sergeant Rick Hernandez said on Friday that the woman somehow managed to escape from the house and called the police with the help of a mobile phone. The woman told that her child is still at home with his father and there is danger inside. Officers heard multiple gunshots coming from inside the home. When he reached inside, the scene was quite scary. The child was hit by several bullets, but the father was not seen inside the house. The child was immediately admitted to the hospital.
"The baby was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but his injuries are not life-threatening," Surprise police said in a statement Friday night. The female victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries and was taken to the child's home.

SWAT officers surrounded the home this afternoon and investigators believe the man is still there. A house also caught fire during the standoff between the officer and the suspect. Hernandez said the man did not live in the home with the woman and child.
