Washington. A senior ISIS officer has been killed in a US airstrike in Syria. Claiming that the senior ISIS officer killed has been identified as Osama Jamal Muhammad Ibrahim al-Janabi who used to recruit terrorists. The US Central Command said that his death will disrupt ISIS's ability to carry out terrorist attacks.

In a statement shared on X, US Central Command said that a US Central Command airstrike in Qasiriya killed a senior ISIS official. On June 16, US Central Command carried out an airstrike in Syria that killed a senior ISIS official, Usama Jamal Muhammad Ibrahim al-Janabi.

According to CNN report, US forces are targeting ISIS terrorists in Africa and the Middle East. About three weeks ago, three ISIS terrorists were killed in an airstrike in a remote area near Dhardar in Somalia, CNN reported citing the US Africa Command.

11 terrorists killed in Iraq

From January to March, Centcom and its partners killed seven ISIS operatives and detained 27 others in Syria, according to the report. During the same time period, 11 militants were killed and 36 detained in Iraq, the report said.
