Lucknow. In the checking campaign being run by the electricity department, electricity thieves were caught in many localities on Wednesday. While checking in Khayaliganj of Aminabad, subdivision officer Purushottam caught electricity theft of 15 kilowatts. Electricity was being stolen by bypassing the meter. Chief Engineer Ravi Agarwal said that checking campaigns will be conducted regularly.
To deal strictly with electricity thieves, combing will soon be done in densely populated areas with PAC. Electricity theft of six kilowatts was detected in New Pal Tiraha, Kishore Nagar of Rajajipuram. Similarly, a campaign was conducted in Mansoor Nagar, Sarfarazganj, Jinnaton Wali Masjid related to Victoria sub-centre. Here too, electricity thieves were found using illegal connections.
Seven electricity thieves caught
Similarly, irregularities were found in Mallapuram related to Balaghat sub-centre and seven electricity thieves were caught in Raniganj and surrounding areas of the Residency. There will be electricity crisis in Pucca Pul and Jankipuram Due to replacement of worn out cables, there will be power crisis in Sultanpur Old Age Home, Alisha Nagar, Jankipuram in the area related to Jankipuram Extension and Sector I sub-centre.
There will be electricity related work around Masanchi Tola, Gulzar Shah Mazar related to the concrete bridge in Ahibharanpur Daliganj. There will be power crisis at both the places from 10 am to 4 pm. There will also be power crisis in Keshav Nagar related to Vikas Nagar sub-centre from 10 am to 5 pm.
