Kanpur. (Lok Sabha Election Result 2024) Although the election was for the Lok Sabha, the candidates fought from morning till evening, the workers worked hard but the ups and downs in the result like the Panchayat elections taught a big lesson. The difference of victory and defeat from lakhs of votes was reduced to thousands.
The same situation was seen in most of the seats of Kanpur-Bundelkhand. In the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidates won these seats by one to five lakh votes, but this time the scene was completely different. Be it BJP, Congress, SP or BSP, this change taught a lesson to everyone.
a close contest
In the 10 assembly seats of Kanpur-Bundelkhand, except Kannauj (Kannauj Lok Sabha Election Result), the margin of votes was very close in the rest. The margin of votes of the winning candidates in Akbarpur, Banda, Jalaun and Unnao was slightly higher, but instead of winning by lakhs in the last election, all were limited to winning by thousands.
Similarly, in Farrukhabad, the game of hide and seek continued between Mukesh Rajput and Dr. Naval Kishore Shakya throughout the counting of votes. Sometimes Mukesh was ahead and sometimes Naval was behind. Many times the difference in the lead was less than 500 votes.
Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti lost from Fatehpur
Similarly, the same was the case between Pushpendra Singh Chandel and Ajendra Singh Lodhi in Hamirpur. Both were seen competing to overtake and push each other back. In Fatehpur too, in the initial phase, a similar conflict was seen between Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and former SP state president Naresh Uttam Patel.
In Akbarpur, there were frequent ups and downs between Devendra Singh Bhole and Rajaram Pal. In Kanpur Lok Sabha constituency, there was a back and forth contest between Ramesh Awasthi and Alok Mishra. Similarly, there was a period of tussle on other seats from the beginning till the end. Political experts say that it was clear from the silence of the public that this time some different results were going to come and that is what happened.
