News Topical, Digital Desk : While the whole of India has set a new record by planting saplings in "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam - Part 2", Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the state's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have created a new record. On the other hand, in the presence of the minister in charge of Bhadohi, dozens of green trees have been cut in the Government Inter College in front of the Police Line, thus ruining this campaign. On the question of cutting the trees which are spoiling the beauty of the school, Minister AK Sharma said that there has been no talk of cutting trees from anywhere, but if it has happened somewhere, then it will be looked into.

On the occasion of World Environment Day (5 June 2025) in Bhadohi district, this month, in 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' Part-2, the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath has started a special campaign by planting saplings. This is the second phase of the initiative started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to keep the environment green and improve the environment. Arvind Kumar Sharma alias AK Sharma, Cabinet Minister of Urban Development, Urban Comprehensive Development, Urban Employment and Poverty Alleviation, Energy and Additional Energy Sources in the Uttar Pradesh government and Minister in charge of the district, said that every citizen of the state should plant a tree in the name of his mother. That is why we have also come to plant a tree in Mallupur Gram Sabha of Aurai Assembly and in this contribution, Bhadohi district has set an example by planting 13 lakh 41 thousand 701 saplings. The Minister in charge said that strict action will be taken against whoever has cut the trees.

 

 

While talking to journalists, Bhadohi district in-charge minister AK Sharma said that a record has been set in the state by planting 37 crore saplings in a single day. We are doing service by planting saplings to save the world. I planted a Peepal tree which is the best tree that gives oxygen and it is also mentioned in mythology. On the question of journalists that Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Yogi and you yourself are planting trees but this campaign has been ruined by cutting green trees in your presence, he said that this is not the case but if someone has cut a tree somewhere, then it will be looked into and action will be taken.

On this occasion, Masoom Ali Sarwar, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), who has been made the nodal officer by the Uttar Pradesh government, planted a sapling in the name of mother in Mallupur, Khemaipur of Bhadohi. On this occasion, Vice President of Scheduled Castes and Tribes Commission Jeet Singh Kharwar, Member of State Women's Commission Neelam Prabhat, former minister and MLA Aurai Dinanath Bhaskar, Gyanpur MLA Vipul Dubey, MLC representative Sanjay Singh, District President Deepak Mishra, Member of SCST Commission Mithai Lal Nishad, District Magistrate Shailesh Kumar and Superintendent of Police Abhimanyu Manglik and Chief Development Officer Bal Govind Shukla, Forest Department Officer Vivek Yadav collectively said that planting trees is important for the environment, animal birds and human life as well as for the economy.

BJP District Panchayat President Anirudh Tripathi was not invited to the program

It should be known that in the name of Ek Ped Maa, all the ministers of the state, vice-presidents of various departments and commissions, all the former and present chairmen and MLAs of the district and party leaders were present but BJP's District Panchayat President Anirudh Tripathi was not invited to this grand program. When he was talked to in this regard, he said that no one had invited me, so how could I go? Do I not come under the protocol? When everyone was invited, why was I not invited? Anirudh Tripathi said that despite all this, we have planted hundreds of saplings on behalf of the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister on behalf of ourselves and our department.

Under "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam -Part 2" 2025, at various places in Bhadohi district, Forest Department as nodal department 300000, Environment Department 45000, Rural Development Department 585000, Housing Development Department Beed 7800, Public Works Department 7600, Urban Development Department 19900, Water Corporation 4800, Silk Department 19000, Agriculture Department 168700, Animal Husbandry Department 4200, Cooperative Department 3000, Industry Department 8800, Secondary Education Department 8900, Irrigation Department (Canal) 9800, Basic Education 6000, Labor Department 2800, Transport 2100, Horticulture Department 66000, Police Department 9000, Health Department 5000, Higher Education 10800, Energy Department 2500, Revenue Department 45000 and by the general public Along with Rudraksh and Sindoor, plants of species like Jamun, Mango, Guava, Peepal, Pakad, Banyan, Amla, Neem, Sheesham, Arjun, Semal, Kanji etc. have been planted in the district.
