UP News: Government employees in Uttar Pradesh have got another gift between the by-elections and the festival season. About 20 lakh employees and officers of UP will get the benefit of this. All employees and officers have been instructed to pay their salaries on October 30. This decision has been taken in view of the festivals early next month. 

Actually, Diwali festival is in the first week of November and Chhath festival is falling six days after that. Due to this, the government has decided to pay the salary of all government employees by the last day of October. That is, with this decision, all the employees will get their salary before Diwali, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj.

Additional Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Deepak Kumar has issued an order to pay salary before the festival of Diwali. In this regard, an order has been issued by issuing a letter to the District Magistrate and the Treasury Officer. While giving instructions, it has been said that Diwali is on October 31, Govardhan Puja is on November 2, Bhai Dooj and Chitra Gupt Puja is on November 3. 
 

This order has been given,
due to the public holiday of festivals, the Governor has approved the payment of salary and pension for October 2024 to all the state employees and aided educational as well as technical educational institutions, urban local bodies and employees in charge of work and pensioners receiving pension from the treasuries of Uttar Pradesh on October 30.

It has been asked to ensure prompt compliance of these orders. This letter has been issued by Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar. Let us tell you that earlier also the government has taken many important decisions for the employees in view of the festivals. These are being linked to the festivals as well as the by-elections.
