Prayagraj.  The Basic Education Department is trying to improve the level of teaching and learning in council schools and improve the basic system of schools. The aim is to increase enrollment in schools. Each school was given a target of at least 10 percent more enrollment than the previous session, despite this, not a single new admission took place in 5350 schools in 50 districts. This includes 3894 schools related to class one and 1456 schools related to class six without admission.

There is no admission in 125 council schools

There are 125 council schools in Prayagraj where not a single admission was made in class one while 12 financed schools have zero enrollment. In class six, not a single new registration was made in 16 Basic Education Department schools and 78 financed schools, i.e. in a total of 97 junior schools.

Zero nomination in Shahjahanpur

Shahjahanpur is at the top in the state in the list of zero enrolment. There are the highest number of 464 schools here in which there was no admission in class one. 443 in Agra, 432 in Mainpuri, 277 in Badaun, 272 in Aligarh, 253 in Bareilly, 236 in Etah, 192 in Mathura, 135 in Kasganj, 126 in Fatehpur, 118 in Meerut, 117 in Hathras, 92 in Pilibhit, 84 in Pratapgarh, 82 in Saharanpur, 81 in Muzaffarnagar, 75 schools in Firozabad did not have a single admission.
