ucknow. In a CBI investigation, the then Chief Manager of Bank of Baroda, Lalitpur, Bhaskar Dwivedi has been found guilty of amassing assets disproportionate to his income. The investigation has revealed assets worth Rs 73.59 lakh amassed by the accused Chief Manager from his black money.
This property is 126.41 percent more than his income during the specified period. The Anti Corruption Branch of CBI Lucknow has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and started investigation in the matter.
The CBI investigated the income and expenditure of the accused bank officer between November 1, 2017 and May 1, 2023. It was revealed that assets worth more than Rs 1.10 crore were amassed during this period, while an expenditure of Rs 21.62 lakh was shown instead of an income of Rs 58.22 lakh in the stipulated period.
Assets worth Rs 73.59 lakh were found to be more than the income. According to sources, the CBI raided the accused bank officer's hideouts in May 2023. Then about Rs 14.60 lakh in cash was recovered from his house, while Rs 32 lakh was also found from two lockers. After which an investigation was started regarding assets more than the income.
