Tulsi is considered the most sacred plant in Hinduism. Most Hindu homes have a Tulsi plant and people worship it every day after taking a bath. Mother Tulsi is also known as Vrinda, who is an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu. This is the reason why the worship of Vishnu Ji is incomplete without Goddess Tulsi. However, many times mistakes are made unknowingly during Tulsi Puja (Tulsi Puja Niyam) which we ignore, which should not be done. So let us know what things should be kept in mind during Tulsi Puja ?

Keep these things in mind during Tulsi Puja (Tulsi Puja ke Niyam)

• After offering a dupatta and red cloth to the Tulsi plant, people forget to change it, which is wrong. People should also keep changing the clothes of Tulsi at the appropriate time.
• The Tulsi plant should not be touched after sunset, it is considered sinful.
• Tulsi should not be plucked even by mistake on the day of Ekadashi.
• When breaking Tulsi leaves, keep in mind that first bow to them and then break them comfortably and with feeling.
• Tulsi leaves should never be plucked by pulling them with nails.
• Water and lamp should not be lit in Tulsi plant on Sunday.
• While lighting a lamp in front of Tulsi, the lamp must be placed on a base of rice.
